Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)
If you’re experiencing low energy, reduced muscle strength, weight gain, hair loss, low sex drive, or even trouble in the bedroom, you could be dealing with low testosterone (“low T”). The good news? You don’t have to live with it. Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) might be the solution. Talk with your provider to see if TRT is right for you, your health, energy, and confidence are worth it.
Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is a simple and effective treatment with results that many of our patients describe as “life-changing”. Men report increased energy, focus, sex drive, muscle mass, and an overall increased sense of wellbeing. Treatment typically involves a multi-step process, starting with a consultation and evaluation, followed by treatment initiation and ongoing monitoring. Treatment Plan includes blood tests, physical exams, and
adjustments to the treatment plan as needed, which is directed by a Physician.
Timeline of Procedures:

1. Initial Consultation and Evaluation:
Medical History and Lifestyle Assessment: A thorough review of your medical history, current health conditions, lifestyle factors to identify potential causes of low testosterone and assess overall suitability for TRT will be performed.
Physical Exam: An initial physical examination to assess your general health and identify any physical signs associated with low testosterone will be performed.
Blood Testing: Comprehensive blood tests to measure testosterone levels and other relevant hormone levels, as well as assess overall health parameters like lipid levels and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) will be regularly checked.
Below are the blood test being monitored:
● Total Testosterone
● Free Testosterone
● Hemoglobin
● Hematocrit
● Estradiol
● Kidney Function test
● Liver Function test
● Luteinizing hormone (LH) / Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)*.

2. Treatment Initiation:
Selection of Treatment Method: Based on your individual needs and preferences, the doctor will determine the most appropriate form of TRT.
Dosage and Administration: The doctor will provide detailed instructions on how to administer the chosen treatment, including dosage and frequency.
3. Ongoing Monitoring:
Regular Follow-up Appointments: Follow-up appointments are to monitor your progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed. The first follow-up visit will be 3-4 weeks following initial therapy. Then scheduled every 3 months for the first year. Then yearly, if stable.
Physical Exams: Regular physical exams, to assess for any unwanted physical / mental changes or other potential side effects.
Blood Tests: Regular blood tests to monitor testosterone levels and other relevant markers, such as lipids, hemoglobin, and hematocrit. Symptom Assessment: The doctor will discuss your symptoms to assess the effectiveness of the treatment and make adjustments as needed.
Potential Side Effects: The doctor will discuss potential side effects and monitor for any signs of adverse reactions.
4. Lifestyle Modifications:
Healthy Diet and Exercise: A healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise, is crucial for optimizing the benefits of TRT and overall health.
Weight Management: Managing weight can also positively impact testosterone levels and overall health.
Avoiding Alcohol and Drugs: Limiting alcohol and drug use can help reduce potential negative impacts on testosterone levels and overall health.
Addressing Sleep Apnea: If sleep apnea is present, addressing this condition can also improve sleep quality and overall health, potentially impacting testosterone levels.
5. Continued Care: Long-term Management:
TRT is often a long-term commitment, requiring ongoing monitoring and adjustments to maintain optimal testosterone levels and overall health.
Open Communication: Maintaining open communication with your doctor is essential for addressing any concerns and ensuring the best possible outcomes from TRT.
